Loudonville's Cole Kirkbride and Mapleton's Gage Barone are this year's winners of the Ashland County Sports Hall of Fame's Bill Mills Scholarship. Kirkbride was a member of the Redbirds' cross country team, and he was a two-time captain and Most Valuable Runner.

Baseball team wins a pair over Orrville

The Loudonville High School baseball team took two games at home over Orrville on Saturday in a doubleheader. The Redbirds won the first game, 4-1 and the second, 9-8. In game one, Mason Huffman had two RBIs, while Logan Fisher and Hayden Brightbill each got a double for Loudonville.
